Probate

When an individual passes away, they often leave assets titled in their name.  If they had a will, the will may indicate who is to inherit these items such as real estate, an automobile or the assets in a particular account.  However, if no provisions were placed in advance to transfer assets, the probate court in the county where your loved one passed away will need to get involved in order to get those titled assets transferred to their heirs.  The probate process is time consuming and can be expensive.  If you have had a loved one pass away either with or without a will, the Weikel & Boyd Law Firm, PLLC can help you sort through the transfer of assets.  Contact attorney Lee Martie for the help you need.
