Kristi Weikel is the owner of Weikel Law Firm, LLC which she founded in 2005. She is experienced in a multitude of practice areas through her representation of small business owners in service industries, manufacturing and health care.

Kristi’s legal experience includes serving as a paralegal at both a small and a mid-sized law firm for several years, working in the areas of product liability and insurance defense.  At both firms, she gained valuable experience on large multi-party litigation cases involving complicated medical and liability issues.  During law school, she worked as a law clerk at a personal injury and estate planning law firm in Bloomington. Kristi has been a paralegal educator at Minnesota School of Business, Kaplan University and Northwestern College in St. Paul.

Kristi is an entrepreneur and educator at heart.  She seeks to educate and counsel her business clients to help them fine-tune their business operationally, practically, financially and legally. Kristi brings sensible legal solutions to the table for every client.

Kristi helps establish businesses in Minnesota assisting in corporation or LLC formation, drafts critical contracts, handles employment and human resources issues, and creates workplace polices and procedures pre, during and post employment relationship.  She also helps business owners when they desire to sell their Minnesota business or are looking to purchase an already existing business through an asset acquisition or a stock acquisition.  Kristi works with those individuals to ensure their business structure is properly set up, the right documents are in place to protect the ongoing interests of the client.

The firm offers a 3-tiered monthly plan for companies to control their legal costs.  Plans exist for start-ups, small businesses, and mature businesses.  We WANT our clients to contact us as often as needed without a second thought as to the cost for the phone call or e-mail.  Therefore, all plans include unlimited e-mails and phone calls to the firm.  

Kristi is also actively involved in creating custom tailored workshops for employers to offer financial education to employees via EAP programs, investment education initiatives pursuant to ERISA, and workplace trainings on legal topics like sexual harassment and discrimination.
